A friend of mine scored some tickets to Chicago Home & Garden's Chairs for Charity event tonight. Vintage chairs were given new life by locally based interior designers and are being auctioned off. Now I'm pretty excited about attending for a few reasons.
1. It's being held at The Tile Gallery .
2. This is my first "non-mandatory for work" design event I'll have attended.
{i.e. I'll feel comfortable to booze it up}
3. I can dress up fancy and pretend I'm classy.
{Pants are clearly optional at fancy parties, at least according to this book}
4. Some of the designers featured are Kara Mann & Monica Pedersen.
5. And have I mentioned yet that I'm vacation? Because everything is better when experienced on a work hiatus.
