Weekend Recap

It is nice having days off, isn't it? There's nothing better then waking up, assuming it's cold outside, and choosing to go back to bed. I have successfully woken up to my alarm ringing at 8:00ish every morning for the past few days, looked out my window, and went back asleep until 10:00. Pure loveliness.

This weekend was an interesting one. My first Thanksgiving as a vegan.......Interesting. Endless hours of online apartment searching and current apartment junk purging......Interesting. I also had high hopes to put up my Christmas tree but for the second year in a row I decided against it. Why? Because I knew this would happen. Because this has happened before....

My cat runs things here. All I can do is make sure she doesn't destroy the place while her evilness reigns!

As I mentioned I went on a crazy cleaning spree that started Thanksgiving night. I ended up filling 14 Trader Joes bags of stuff and next to those bags is a pile of wall decor/art and small pieces of furniture I don't need. The thought of not having to move all that stuff (if I do move that is) is a great feeling. Plus, after searching for apartments the probability of even having the extra space to store all those things is slim.
Vintage=No storage.

And speaking of vintage, what is it with that Rita Konig and her fabulous vintagey homes? Her place is my new apartment inspiration.

So anyways, that was my weekend! I'm actually on my last day off today and since I have succeeding in putting off the normal everyday cleaning stuff (dishes, laundry, etc) for 4 days, that is the fun that is to ensue today!
