Under Construction

Well Monday that is. And not my blog or my home (although it would be nice to take a sledgehammer to my awful "Cherry Thermofoil" cabinets.) It's this ginormo kitchen, powder room, and bar that is getting a bit of a makeover.

And by makeover I mean ripped down to the studs. Bare bones folks. It's gonna be epic. The client is beyond lovely so that definitely helps when designing a project with this large of a scope. It also helps that her daughter has met Justin Bieber not once but twice. I bet you're wondering how exactly that helps me. Just knowing that I am one degree away from Bieber is enough to motivate me to design a thousand kitchens. It also helps that during one of our meetings she said to me, "You could design this whole thing out and not show me and I'm sure I'd love it."

I love nice people.

But I digress. Custom cabinetry is currently in production including a pretty sweet diamond raised panel door on the island, sparkly new appliances, new tile flooring, a farm sink, and some new jazzy light fixtures are also included, I could literally go on and on here.

Tomorrow I meet all the sub-contractors at the job site to review everything in preparation for Monday's demo. What can I say? I'm a regular construction worker.
