A twist on chevron print that is...
Crazy? Too busy? Or super interesting? I'm not a fan of the room as a whole because it feels too matchy matchy and juvenile to me. And you know, there's that butterfly chair hanging out. Ugh. But like the scallop print dresser I posted yesterday, I think this could look nice if it were styled differently. This space needs some more life. Maybe more wood tones, ditch those white lamps, and of course trash that dang butterfly chair. Correction, beat the crap out of it first, all Office Space style, and then trash it.
Try pairing that wall with pieces like these:
Gold would look perfect with the purple, griege, and green color combo. It will make it feel a little more grownup. Try mounting these above the green open bookshelves.
Try an unexpected sofa shape to help soften the strong pattern lines.
Try a pretty gold coffee table in a gold finish to help tie in the gold wall sconces.
Try some side chairs in a contrasting color. Bertoia anyone?
I always like to add natural elements and accessories to a space to help bold color and materials have a more eclectic and soft look. Try aged wire, wood, or wicker baskets (or some kind of storage of any kind) in those green shelving units. It'll de-Ikea-ify the look of them. There's definitely room to make those more interesting.
These are just some things I would recommend. Oh, and of course, go out and find accent pillows that pull all the colors together. Because all those solid pillows they have are gross.
