The blog New Dress A Day follows the author Marisa for a year while she spends exactly $1.00 a day on thrift store, garage sale, and resale shop clothing. What she creates with some of the shoulder pad covered, old lady lookin stuff is quite amazing. It makes me really rethink my upcoming fall shopping!

Recycled sweater decor!
Now I don't have a cable knit sweater that looks like this but you better believe I'll be on the hunt for one! Take a look at the directions here as well as some other sweater friendly projects. The sweater bowl sleeves and pillow are also calling my name!
*Food Creation*
I'm a vegetarian who also doesn't eat dairy or eggs so any recipe I suggest will be animal friendly (sorry carnivores!). This particular Carrot-Raisin Muffin recipe is from the cookbook Vegan with a Vengeance. Slather some butter or cream cheese on it (non-dairy of course) and voila! So good and so simple!
