It's equal bits trendy and granny to like crochet right now. I saw one recently at a thrift store and almost bought it. It was not purchased mainly because buying bedding items at thrift stores kinda skeeves me out. I know, I know....these things can be washed. I still feel weird about it!
I think a crochet item would mesh nicely with my evolving taste so I will either make one myself (my Grandma showed me some crocheting basics this past weekend, yay!) or I will conquer my germ fears and purchase one at a thrifty establishment (and probably wash it a bazillion times). Here's a few interiors that feature crochet in various forms!
When it comes to decorating with crochet just remember these two things:
1. Use moderation and stick with crochet items like blankets, pillows, or novelty items like the stool cover in the above picture.
2. And if you're a single lady, do not sit on the sofa with your cat in your lap and crochet. If you do, please don't tell anyone about it or take pictures of yourself doing it. It gives all us normal cat ladies a bad reputation.
Basically, common sense people. If you think these rules don't apply to you, then I have a couple of pictures to prove my point:
