The black pieces in the photo are actually a shoelace type of material that I glue gunned on to cover the torn up caning. It looks quite fuzzy in the picture but it's really not that bad. I am thinking that maybe I'll get some gold studs and glue those on instead. So I may not be done with this project afterall......
