Hi, my name's Nicole and I haven't blogged in a day and a half. Whoops.....Me first, work second (my full time job), work third (my part time job), blogging last. Yesterday was a prime example of this hierarchy! But I'm back today and quite annoyed with Kashmir Ivory granite. It's white, it's cream, it's green, it's gray, there's red, there's black....Ugh. Stop it already!
{My slab has less blue-gray and more taupey green undertones}
We picked a gorgeous slab of it last week and I just spent an hour and a half trying to pick out backsplash tile options to go with it. I got into a fight with Kasmir Ivory and Kasmir Ivory whipped my ass.
I want to bring out the warm tones in the granite and the client likes a Florida beachy feel so here's the options I came up with.
#1
Beige tumbled marble with beach glass inserts. It's not an exact match but it works.
#2
A beige honed marble with springy green glass inserts. This is probably my fav.
#3
3x6 Carmel toned glass subway tiles. I think this would look sharp and clean with the particular granite slab we tagged but I have a feeling my client won't go for it.
So there's my struggle for the day! I meet with the client's sometime next week so I'll let you know the final verdict!
