Spring Fever

I got it! Although I'm sure I'll loose it towards the end of the week when the temp is supposed to get back down in the 30's. Boo.

Let's pretend we don't know about that though. For the first time last year I decided to actually make my patio space habitable with a rug, small side table and chair and tons of plants. I actually looked forward to sitting out there on Sunday mornings with the paper and iced coffee. So this year I have plans again  to make it all pretty like. I will most likely be using the same furniture but I need a new rug and I want to attempt to make it more cozy and private with some larger plants. I just have to do some research to find which large plants are impossible to kill. Because guys, I killed a hosta last summer. And supposedly those are hard to kill!

Here's my before patio pictures:

As you can sorta see in the last pic, my building is an odd shape so everyone can see everyone. I'm a loner and don't like people all up in my bidness so that's why I'm thinking large plants. And, as you can definitely see, stuff is pretty much thrown everywhere. Even the screen door is ripped off. All that is due to the gigantic Chicago snow storm that hit in February. The wind caused mass chaos.  I  haven't called maintenance to replace that screen door yet. Will do this week so I can cracking on making over this space!
